What started off as a passion for mountain bike riding and creating small bike trails as a side hustle, turned into the biggest mountain bike park in the big state of Texas.

A high school student in Austin, Texas, with a dream to build the biggest and best bike park in the Lone Star State…..Rhett's story in a nutshell.

He envisioned a place where riders of all levels could come together and experience the thrill of mountain biking amidst the stunning Texas landscape.

And guess what? He made it happen!

Rhett realized that Texas had everything he needed to bring his vision to life. There was a very large community of bike riders, sufficient terrain, and not one world-class bike trail in Texas.

Rhett's entrepreneurial spirit is not just by chance; it's in his blood. His dad and uncle are successful entrepreneurs themselves, and their guidance played a significant role in shaping Rhett's journey. With their advice and input from other mentors, Rhett attended conferences, connected with professionals on LinkedIn, and used pitch tags to effectively communicate his vision.

Rhett's big break came when he posted about his project on Facebook, leading to his main investor coming on board. Now, this is social media at its finest, showing the power of social media in making connections and sharing your vision with the world.

Rhett always knew his journey was attainable, but it was no walk in the park. He had to face several challenges along the way, but he didn't give up. Securing the funds for the land and park construction was a big hurdle. It took him six months of hard work, 400 social media posts and messages, and Texas-sized determination to raise an impressive $3 million for the land and an additional $350,000 for the park, from 19 equity investors.

Once he had the funds, Rhett hired a team of ten full-time builders from all over the country, and together, they began the exciting journey of creating Station Mountain Bike Park from the ground up.

In just three months, they managed to construct 20 amazing trails and 100 jumps, something that is unheard of in Texas.

November 3, 2023, was a day for Rhett and the biking community to remember, as Station Mountain Bike Park opened its doors to the public.

Rhett welcomed around 500 enthusiastic riders on opening day, who were thrilled to experience the magic he'd created. His achievement at such a young age is truly remarkable. It shows us all what can happen when you follow your passion with determination and vision.

Today, at 18 years old, Rhett manages a team of 30 employees at the park, and he's still on the lookout for new team members to meet the growing demand. His journey has turned him into a successful business owner and a community leader, providing opportunities not only for riders but also for those looking for work in the area.
